Over the years, Dr. Sid has successfully perfected his craft, marrying his two biggest passions – artistic beauty with the technical aspects of plastic and reconstructive surgery. He strongly believes that the science of good skin health and rejuvenation is the key to producing excellent cosmetic results.

A passionate adversary, Dr. Sid takes great pleasure in knowing that his work will greatly improve the quality of his patient’s life, many of whom come to him after experiencing untold trauma, stress, and anxiety. 

During his professional career, Dr. Sid has had the privilege of observing several well-known cosmetic and reconstructive surgeons and regularly attends local as well as international congresses. Experienced in thread lifting procedures, Dr. Sid also regularly hosts aesthetic device training workshops where he upskills and guides medical practitioners to perfect thread lifting techniques using Tesslift®️ devices, the world’s first CE marked mesh scaffold technology formulated by TESS (Tissue Elevation Suspension System). He is also the official certified local training instructor for Merz Aesthetics.

Dr. Sid’s professional career began in 2003 at the University of Stellenbosch, where he completed his medical undergraduate degree in 2008. He began specialising in general surgery at Tygerberg Hospital after his internship and medical training was completed in 2014. Dr Sid then moved across to specialise in plastic surgery in 2017, where he also completed his final specialisation. He completed his postgraduate degree at the University of Stellenbosch in 2022 and currently continues his medical journey in advancing his skills as a specialist plastic surgeon, further enhancing his proficiency and expertise in his field.

His warm and trusting bedside manner allows him to connect with each of his patients on both a professional and personal level and his unfaltering devotion to his work ensures that his patients are advocated for, and only receive the finest quality care available in aesthetic medicine.

When he is not hiking through Cape Town’s mountainous landscape, you will find Dr. Sid spending his spare time making the most of Cape Town’s gastronomy and restaurant scenes with his wife and dogs.  Together, they enjoy learning about new places, cultures, people, and foods whilst travelling the world.
